I’m new to this forum. I would like to know whether we can get the exact diameter of exoplanet using the Panoptes Telescope. How can we find the diameter of exoplanet using PANOPTES Telescope?
We can infer the planet diameter from the fraction of starlight missing during the transit. For example, if the star flux dims by 1%, this means the planet disk covers 1% of the area of the stellar disk, so the planet diameter is 10% of the star diameter.
Thank you for replying and clearing my doubts.
